MATT PRENDERGAST - RESUMÉ

Cover Letter To whom it may concern, my name is Matt Prendergast and I have been heavily involved in live event production as a profession for the last seven years. It is something I genuinely enjoy and constantly strive to push myself to evolve and learn my craft. My specialty is lighting, and I personally own a Martin Light Jockey dmx controller, as well as all the other requisite tools I need to do the job of setting, programming, running and striking a light show. I also have experience with video and sound setup and operation, so I consider myself a well-rounded technician specializing in lighting. My experience ranges from small private parties to some of the largest touring shows in the world, from ultra slick corporate to rough and ready rock and rave shows. Recent highlights include a cross-Canada tour with the Weekend to End Breast Cancer charity in wich I was head lighting tech as well as teleprompter operator. I work well under pressure, and safety is my primary concern when on a job-site. I work well with others or alone, take direction and/or give direction well, and am always punctual, hard-working and enthusiastic. I am quite accustom to the stress, long hours and hard work involved in this industry. I am looking to work either freelance or on a full or part-time basis for a forward thinking company, and to enhance any production I am involved with with my experience as well as expand my skill-set. I am sure i would be an asset to any work-site I was on. I have great references and encourage they, as well as my past employers be contacted. yours truly,
