White Licorice

White Licorice was my main musical project. I wrote the lyrics and most of the music, and sang lead vocals and guitar. A potent mix of heavy guitar and vocal harmonies, it is a stripped down, minimilist style that is difficult to compare to anything going on in the music scene today. We have played pretty much every dive bar in Vancouver, and are untainted by any measure of sucess.

Freon

A very progressive and ambitous project, with the post-hardcore genre as a starting point. I played guitar and was co-writer of the music. Again, this project never really got the recognition that I felt it deserved, but was a vast musical education for me.

Trapazoid

Oh, the excessis of youth. This was the original band that I moved out from Ontario with, with the exception of the singer, who, although from our hometown, we only hooked up with musically in Vancouver. Performing a hyper-technical, bordering on the absurd brand of metal mixed with jazz and phsychedelia, this project was just a bit too "over the top" for the scene in Vancouver at the time.
